p.p.s.

there's a place in the bus mall (4th and alder) called, i believe, "bon appetit", that has amazing falafels for 5 bucks (i recommend adding hot peppers), and they make a manakish (spelled there as manakeesh) that has tomatoes and other good stuff on top of the usual stuff. maya says it's the best one she's ever had. i must agree. she's telling me this as i type, but will not clarify if she means the falafel or the manakeesh. clarify, woman!

Ricki- Yeah, I couldn't get over how well the cupcake turned out. As much as I want my cupcakes frosted all pretty-like, I can never do it. I was super giddy when the piping worked. Then for the ganache, I used a ziploc bag with just the tiniest corner cut off to drizzle it on the top.

Kevin- Anything that tricks Tom into eating cauliflower is A-OK in my book. Oh, and a sea otter eats up to 20% of its weight every day.
