new year’s boozin’

champagne1If ’tis the season to find cruelty-free bubbly, then here’s another list for ya. Thanks to Barnivore (the new name for Taste Better’s vegan liquor guide), Animal Aid Shop, Smithfield Wine, and Vegan Wine Guide,  I’ve been able to copy & paste a possibly useful bunch of information without doing a lick of investigating. I do have an   e-mail out to Schramsburg because I quite enjoyed their Demi-sec, and I’ll let you know what I hear back (Heard back—no good, but they’ll look into it). If y’all know of any others, let me know and I’ll add them to the list.

Canard-Duchene Brut
Carte d’Or Brut: José Ardinat
Piper Heidseck NV
Tesco Blanc De Blanc, Blanc De Noirs, Brut Premier Cru, Demi Sec, Finest Vintage, Pol. Aime, and Rose Cava
Th. Blondel Premier Cru and Rose Brut Premier Cru

And if you overdo it, let’s hope your biggest mistake is giving yourself a hangover. If so, Treehugger put together a list of green remedies. I don’t really know how motivated you’d be to get yer yoga on (that really is one of their ideas), but maybe one of the others will work for you. And if none of them do, well, you’ve only yourself to blame.

UPDATE: Just got an e-mail from TriMet—if you’re in Portland, all service is free after 8:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Blue and Red lines are running until around 3:00 a.m.
